It's been a few weeks since the 708 area code phone numbers started being charged for toll calls. At first, it was just a few people who were affected by the change, but as time goes on, it seems like more and more people are having to pay for their calls.I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind the toll charges, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that the 708 area code is so popular. With so many people using those phone numbers, the telecom companies must be trying to find ways to make more money.
Whatever the reason may be, it's not fair that we have to pay extra for phone calls. Especially when we're just trying to stay in touch with our friends and family.
I hope the telecom companies see how unfair this is and change their policy soon. In the meantime, let's all try to spread the word so that as many people as possible can avoid these unnecessary charges.
